Reasons Why I CANNOT Quit Caffeine

I attempted to quit soda on Saturday and actually made it until Tuesday. I felt the headache coming on and decided now is not the time... After looking at my calendar this week I think it was a wise decision, what do you think? Does anyone else ever feel like when it rains it pours? This is NOT my favorite time of year. Little League season is CRAZY for us and it also brings with it that fabulous Taylor wind. Who doesn't love that? For all of my valley friends and family, don't be surprised if I show up on someone's doorstep to spend the next few months with you.......

STOP the Snow, STOP the Snow, STOP the Snow

OK - it was just a couple of postings below and we were so glad our first snow was here and we were loving it. Now it's just old!! Two NO SCHOOL snow days this week - YUCK. Here's a few pictures of the first snow day. Yes there are three kids under that snow somewhere. Patrick was driving the four-wheeler and I was riding it backwards while taking pictures. Tanner yelled the whole time "I'm too young to die!" It was really fun for about 20 minutes and then I tried to catch up on the laundry it created for the next two days (gotta love six layers of clothes on each kid). It is a beautiful wet snow, but not that great to live in.

Six of My Favorite People

Amanda, Kim, Jess, Jami, Riley and Danielle

We recently had a girls weekend and had sooo much fun. For details you can look at Amanda, Jessica or Danielles' links. These girls are so much fun. I loved this picture and wanted to post it and show you a few of my favorite people. Now that I'm getting so old, hanging out with these young girls makes me feel young again ;-).

We're All In This Together - HSM!!!!

Since I am WAY behind in the posting, I'll just do random updates. Another exciting event in January was our trip to Tucson to see High School Musical!! Grandad and Grandma Hancock bought all the younger kids tickets for Christmas. My Mom, Melanie and I were the ones who got to go and take them. We left Snowflake and stopped in Heber to pick up our first crew. Melanie had her three and one extra (cute Maci Nelson). Then we went to the valley and picked up Garrett and Amy's four kids and headed to Tucson. The whole group consisted of three adults and and 11 kids. They were all really well behaved (thank goodness!!!). We stayed at the Hilton and let the kids swim for a while that evening and then went to Peter Piper and they ate pizza and played games.
The next morning we hit the mall for lunch/brunch and then headed to Tucson Convention Center to watch the show. It was awesome!!! The kids had a ball. Big THANKS to Grandma and Grandad!! What a great gift to get to spend time with each other making memories. Here's a picture of Allie and Shayna watching the show.

Tanner's Baptism

OK - after MUCH harassing I've decided I really should do better at posting. Alot has been going on at our house since December 10th. I CANNOT believe it's been almost two months since I posted. For highlights of our Christmas feel free to check out my family blogs listed. They have all done a great job (thanks guys!!).

Our most exciting event of January was Tanner's baptism. He turned 8 on the 19th and we were able to baptize him that same day. What a great day!! Everything went well and we had lots of family and friends there. I wished I knew how to post a PowerPoint Presentation on here. I did a slide show that we watched while he and Patrick got dressed and it turned out really good. What a great kid!!!
